Let's bring this idea home - hug tunnels for our nursing home residents to be able to receive love.

Hug tunnels have now been rolled out in both Brazil and Belgium for nursing home residents to be able to give and receive love in the form of warm embraces.

Pictured here, a senior-living facility in Brazil has installed what residents are calling "the most beautiful invention," a hug tunnel.

This invention allows for family members and loved ones to be able to visit through a thick sheet of plastic. The sheet even has sealed arm holes so that the resident and visitor are able to embrace each other, exchanging hugs for the first time in months since the Covid-19 outbreak has begun.

Staff schedule the visits and wipe down the "cuddle curtain" after each use.

Now this is an idea that must be shared and multiplied. Here in Florida we have thousands of senior citizens who haven't seen a loved one in months, let alone been able to feel a warm embrace, and everyone needs love, especially in times like these.

This is what we need to make it happen - a coordinated effort and grand community collaboration, that we are willing to lead.

Here are the components needed to make it happen:

🖤 Strategy ✔ 🖤 Communications ✔ 🖤 Materials (thick vinyl sheeting) 🖤 Labor to construct the tunnel 🖤 Dedication of the staff per home to schedule visits and sanitize it after each use

We will provide all strategy and communications including press coverage of the good deed for whichever company or human(s) who will cover the cost of materials and labor making this act of kindness and love a reality for our Florida senior-living homes.

We are ISO the thick plastic (vinyl) sheeting - do you know of a company that sells it?

We are ISO sponsors to make this possible for the hundreds of nursing homes we have statewide.

We are ISO volunteers to help us get this accomplished quickly.

Thank you for helping us to re-create this beautiful invention here at home.

If you would simply like to donate to the cause, you can make a donation of any amount through the GoFund me page here https://bit.ly/HugTunnel

All donations received will go toward the construction of Hug Tunnels at our Florida senior-living facilities.
